This learning course serves as a portion of Align&Refine Yoga’s mentorship program which will count as continuing education for current yoga teachers and a developmental program for aspiring yoga teachers.
Asana Explore various ways to build skills that physically prepare the body for various inversions.
Anatomy & Movement Understand and integrate anatomy and movement principles that release and strengthen the body for inversions.
Practice Learn to build and improve one’s own or another’s practice through principles of sequencing.
Philosophy Write and reflect on how the Kleshas manifest in one’s own life and how it can improve life off the mat.
1 Strengthen and stabilize muscles in
the shoulder girdle system.
2 Prepare the shoulders for retraction,
protraction, flexion, extension, and
3 Harness the strength of gluteal and
hamstring muscles for hip flexion, hip
extension and balance those efforts to
4 Build overall core awareness (front, side,
and back core) for stability especially
when upside down.
5 Learn to make adjustments in the air and
create exit strategies from inversions.
